This guest post is brought to you by Tom.  He runs FindMySurveys, a free paid surveys based site helping those make money without a website and more.

Many people think that you can only make money online with your blog.  This couldn’t be further from the truth.  What you’re going to find is that there are many opportunities out there that you can take advantage of.  From freelancing for other companies to taking paid surveys, I wanted to give you some pointers on how you can make money with surveys, as I do a lot of research on them.

  1. Do your homework – There are a lot of companies out there that you can sign up with.  About 99% of them are going to rip you off or they won’t send you any surveys.  If you don’t get any surveys, how the heck are you supposed to make money?  By completing a search, you will find that you can find both positive, as well as negative reviews.
  2. Don’t download stuff – You don’t want to download software, especially from a source that you don’t know.  The reason you don’t want to do this is simply because you can get major spyware, as well as other virus related activities.  This isn’t going to be good for your computer, trust me.
  3. Look into their BBB rating – If the company has a BBB rating and it’s higher than a B+, you’re going to find that you can more than likely trust them.  Make sure you always check.  You can always do this at BBB.org.  If they don’t have it, it doesn’t mean that they won’t pay.
  4. Check for payment proof – If you think you’re going to like a company, check and see if there is payment proof online.  A way you can do this is by typing “Company XYZ payment proof.”  When you do this, look at the images and see if you can spot a check from the company.  Generally if there is more than 1 check, it’s going to be a legit company.
  5. Get paid in cash – Yes, some companies don’t pay you in cash, but rather stupid things like raffle tickets.  Stay far, far away from these companies.  This is a nice way of them telling you, “I like that you’re making money for us, but we don’t want to pay you!”

If you can follow these tips the next time you want to make money with surveys, I can almost guarantee that you’re going to find some company that works for you.  Remember that you won’t make thousands monthly, but you can make a decent amount!
